DEFENSE LOGISITICS AGENCY AWARDS CONTRACT TO CASCADE DISTRIBUTING, INC.
A KENT, OHIO BASED COMPANY, A 5 YEAR, $20 MILLION DOLLAR RE-REFINED OIL CONTRACT.
After 18 months of negotiations with DSCR the Re-Refined Oil Contract has finally been awarded.
On October 15, 2002 Cascade Distributing, Inc. was awarded over 90% of the Re-refined Oil Contract for the
next 5 years from the Defense Supply Center in Richmond, VA.
The government mandated the use of re-refined oil back in 1993. Since that time, all Federal Government Agencies,
including the US Military have continually increased their use of this environmentally sensitive product for most of their
passenger, commercial, and tactical vehicles.
This program continues to re-use and preserve one of our most precious natural resources, and lessens our dependency
on foreign oil.
CDI will sell over 1,000,000 gallons of re-refined oil each year to these Federal Government Agencies. The company had
the previous contract from mid 1998 until mid 2001. The company has grown its customer base from 50 accounts in 1998
to over 800 accounts year to date including 550 military bases.
CDI also sells, hydraulic oils, gear oils, under the hood chemicals, tires, filtration devices and paint for vehicle maintenance
applications.
